How to View a Learner’s Group Membership

Groups are heavily used to customize and automate course enrollments in cases where the Departments don’t provide enough flexibility. Being able to track a Learner’s groups membership is helpful to determine if you captured the correct people for the group driven marketing activities or course enrollment.

This article demonstrates how to run a report on a single Learner and see all of the groups the Learner belongs to.

Viewing Groups Membership

There are two ways to determine the Groups membership of a User: using the View Groups action in the Users Report or applying a dedicated filter in the Groups Report

From The Users Report

  1. Navigate to the Users Report page by clicking the Users button from the Admin Menu and choose Users from the sub-menu.

  2. From the Users Report, select the User that you want to view group membership for.

  3. Click View Groups in the action panel on the right.

You will be routed to the Groups Report view with the previous User already selected as a filter and the report will only show the groups this user belongs to.
