Absorb 5 Update: 5.56.4


This release is planned for deployment on March 4, 2018.

Please note: All features listed here are subject to change prior to deployment. Releases are deployed at 8:00 PM MST and are expected to take up to 60 minutes. Users will not be able to use the LMS during this time. A maintenance page will be displayed to all users who attempt to use the LMS.

SHA-2 Encryption Support
Absorb now supports SHA-2 for both incoming and outgoing requests in regards to SAML SSO.


LinkedIn Learning Integration

Organizations that have upgraded to the New Learner Experience will now be able to create a LinkedIn Learning integration with Absorb LMS and offer content directly through their portal. 

LinkedIn Learning must be enabled via a Support Ticket to our Help Desk.

Improved Search Filtering
Search filtering for courses now allows a learner to perform a search based on further types of content, such as tags, venue type and venue location.

On Login Course (New Learner Experience)
On Login Course is available in the New Learner Experience. This was previously referred to as "Mandatory Course," however the functionality has not changed. 



Global Resources Page (New Learner Experience)
The Global Resources page in the New Learner Experience now has the ability to provide show/hide categories and filter by resource name and tags associated with a resource, similar to the filtering on the Catalog and My Courses page.

eCommerce Checkout Improvement (New Learner Experience)
The layout of the shopping cart signup, shipping, and billing forms in the New Learner Experience has been updated. The forms now appear horizontally across the page, reducing the scrolling required by users.

eCommerce Cart Update (New Learner Experience)
Learners on the NLE will now be notified if contents of their shopping cart change, or are no longer available. This avoids errors and confusion over content that has changed in price or has been removed from the catalog.

13429 Admin

Assessment Questions Report Counts
The Assessment Questions Report no longer counts inactive users in attempts. This brings further consistency across Absorb reports which do not count inactive users.
