Open ID Connect SSO
Absorb now supports OpenID Connect single sign on. This is an additional option for clients who do not use SAML or the Absorb SSO. OpenID Connect is an identity layer on top of the OAuth 2.0 protocol. It allows the client to verify the identity of your learners based on the authentication performed by an Authorization Server and to obtain basic profile information about the learner in a REST-like manner. OpenID Connect allows clients to securely request and receive information about authenticated sessions and end-users. Currently Absorb supports the Authorization Code Flow with HS256 and RS256 signature types as well as HTTP Post and HTTP Basic authentication schemes. More information on this feature can be found here.
