User Provisioning for SAML Single Sign-On (New Learner Experience)

Absorb will be adding the option upon setting up your SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) to allow users to be automatically created in the LMS when they attempt to authenticate if they do not already exist.  When enabled, Absorb will create users based on attribute information included in the SAML response from the Identity Provider (IdP).

When leveraging user provisioning to create new users in the LMS, any default or custom profile field can be set for user by including a standard 'schema-less' attribute statement included in the SAML response. Complex lookups for these fields are also supported, including:

  • Department
  • Supervisor
  • Country and Province
  • Language
