Absorb Skills allows for Managers to review and evaluate the Self-Assessment of a Learner. This functionality allows Managers to validate the Self Assessment of a Learner, review the ratings, and ensure alignment on Skills. Learners will have visibility into the Manager's evaluations, fostering a transparent and collaborative upskilling process.
Accessing Self-Assessments
Managers can access Self-Assessments through the Skill Assessments tab on the Direct Reports page. This tab is only visible when the Skills feature is enabled and the organization has an active license.
Reviewing Self-Assessments
For a Manager to review the Self-Assessment of a Learner, follow these steps:
Navigate to Skill Assessments
On the Direct Reports page, navigate to the Skill Assessments tab.
Here, you will find a list of your direct reports' Self-Assessments, including the Role Name, Self-Assessment Start Date, and Progress information.
Select an Assessment to Review
Click the Review Assessment link next to the Self-Assessment you wish to evaluate. This will open the Detailed Assessment view.
Evaluate the Self-Assessment
In the Detailed Assessment view, you can see the Learner's Self-Assessment Ratings. You can validate these Ratings by assigning your own Ratings using the 5-star system provided.
Additionally, you can add comments to provide more context and feedback.
Publish the Evaluation
Once you have completed your evaluation, click the Publish button. A notification will appear, confirming that the review will be made available to the Learner.
Update the Published the Evaluation
After you have published the evaluation you can still go back and edit. You can continue to make changes then click save when you are complete. The changes will become visible to the Learner after they are saved.
Learner Visibility
After the Manager publishes the evaluation, the Learner will receive an alert indicating that their Self-Assessment has been reviewed. The Learner can view the Manager's Ratings and comments on the Self-Assessment History page.
Important Notes
Managers can only evaluate completed Self-Assessments.
Managers can only review the most recent Self-Assessment for each Learner.
No new Permissions are required for Managers to access and evaluate Self-Assessments.
