When you create a Course in Absorb Create, you may want to offer that Course in more than one Language. You can either translate the Course outside of the LMS, and then upload the translated XLIFF file, or translate it automatically using Create AI.

How to Use Automatic Language Translations

Automatic Course Translations can be accessed through the Course Settings menu in an existing Course. In Create, open the Course you would like to translate and follow these steps:

1. Click the Course Settings icon in the top bar.
   
   
   
2. Under Select translation method, select Auto-translate.
   
   
   
3. Select the Target Language to translate the Course into.
   
   
   
4. Click Translate. A message confirming that your Course is being translated will appear in the window. 
   
   
   
5. Once the translation is complete, click Go to Course to view the translated Course.
   
   
   
6. Review the translated Course to check that it appears as you expect. Pay close attention to spacing and overflow, as these are some of the most common items that will need to be adjusted.

1. How many Languages are available?
   A: There are 35 Languages available. The list of Languages is available here.
   

    

2. Which Languages does my source Course need to be in?
   A: Any of the 35 Languages can work in either the source Course or target Translation Course.
   

    

3. Are Voice Over segments translated?
   A: The text in the Voice Over editor is translated. Course authors can review slide in their Course to generate the translated Voice Over and add it to the slide. 

    

4. How long does the Translation take?
   A: The Translation time ranges depending on the length and complexity of the Course, as well as the queue of jobs on the server. You can expect Translations time to range from seconds to minutes.
   

    

5. What is the cost of each Course Translation?
   A: At this time, Course Translations are included in your Create subscription.
