Admins can now edit all Profile fields for users synced through Connectors. This allows greater flexibility for Admins and simplifies the setup process for synced Users. This change is only available for the Workato connector and does not apply to partner connectors.

What's Changed

Historically, Connector user sync required designated User fields to be sent to Absorb before a sync could occur. This determined which fields would be synced to Absorb. Once configured, these fields were locked and could not be edited by Admins.

This update removes that required step and allows Admins to edit fields on a synced User Profile, aligning user syncs with Users created within Absorb.

Sync Behavior and Troubleshooting

Since all User Profile fields are now editable, Admins can manually update them within Absorb. However, if a field is also maintained by a connected source system, it may be overwritten when the next Connector sync occurs.

If Admins notice discrepancies in synced User Profile fields, they should review the audit log to determine the origin of the change. Reviewing timestamps and associated information can indicate if an update was made manually in the LMS, or through a Connector sync.
