This release introduces a dedicated Webhooks page in Client Settings, giving Admins visibility into every Webhook delivery, details for failed deliveries, and one-click retry.
This release gives Admins full visibility into Webhook deliveries. Webhooks are now managed from a dedicated page in Client Settings, where you can review delivery history across all Webhooks, view the payload and error message for failed deliveries, and retry a failed delivery with one click, without contacting Absorb Support.
For more information refer to the following articles:
Who's affected: Admins whose role includes the Edit Client permission. Learners are not affected.
Default state: Enabled per Portal. If the Webhooks tile does not appear on your Client Settings page, reach out to your Client Success representative.
Admin control: Not configurable. Individual Webhooks can still be turned on or off using the Enable webhook toggle.
The following features are new to Webhooks in this release.
Webhook Delivery History
The new Events tab on the Webhooks page displays the delivery history for all Webhooks in your Portal, so you can confirm whether Events are reaching your listener URLs. From the Events tab, you can:
- Set the date range, which defaults to the Last 24 hours, using quick ranges for the last three days, the current month, or the previous month, or a custom range.
- Click Filters to narrow results by event name, delivery status, or response status code.
- Review the Total, Delivered, and Failed summary tiles for the selected date range.
Failed Delivery Details and Retry
Clicking a failed delivery opens the Event details window, which shows the Event type, response status code, error message, and the Payload Absorb attempted to send. After resolving the issue with your listener URL, click Retry in the Event details window or in the Actions column to resend the delivery. A confirmation appears immediately, and the updated outcome appears the next time the delivery history refreshes.
Each delivery can be retried manually up to five times. Before a delivery is shown as Failed, Absorb automatically retries it twice. These automatic retries are not counted, so a newly failed delivery shows 0 in the Retries column.
Individual Webhook Pages
Clicking a Webhook on the Webhooks tab opens its own page. This page shows a configuration card with the Webhook's URL, subscribed Events, masked Secret key, and created date, along with a delivery history scoped to that Webhook only. You can troubleshoot and retry failed deliveries for a single integration without reviewing deliveries for every other Webhook in your Portal.
The following existing functionality has been updated in this release.
Webhooks Page in Client Settings
Webhooks are now managed from a dedicated Webhooks page, replacing the previous window-based experience. Clicking the Webhooks tile on the Client Settings page opens a list of configured Webhooks showing each Webhook's Name, URL, Events, and Status. From this list, you can click Add new webhook to create a Webhook, or edit and delete existing ones.
