Overview
The Answers Report provides a breakdown of all questions for a selected Assessment. It provides a focus on every answer submitted for each of those questions.
The Answers Report can be accessed from the Assessments Report. Select a data row, and then select the action Answers Report to launch the Answers Report automatically filtered for the data row that you have selected.
Tips:
- Be mindful that opening a report may also bring up a favorite saved layout, or a shared default organizational report layout.
- You will only see data that you have access to view. For example, data from Learners that an Admin does not have permission to view will not be included in their report.
Report Data
You can customize this report to provide information on many different data points in order to tailor it to your preferences. The available data fields, which are the columns in the report, are listed below.
Notes
- Fields that have an asterisk (*) symbol are included in the Report's default layout.
- Custom fields configured in your Portal Settings will also be available.
Data Column | Description |
Answered* | This column displays whether or not the Question was answered. |
Attempt ID | This column displays the unique identifier for this particular Assessment attempt. When the Assessment is submitted by the Learner, the LMS will automatically generate this value. |
Correct* | This column displays whether or not the submitted Answer was correct or incorrect. |
Correct Answer | This column displays the correct answer as defined in the Assessment settings. |
Date Added* | This column displays the date and time that the Question was added to the Assessment. |
Date Completed | This column displays the date and time that the Answer to the Question was submitted by the Learner. |
First Name* | This column displays the value populated in the User's Profile > First Name field. |
ID | This column displays the unique identifier for the Answer. |
Last Name* | This column displays the value populated in the User's Profile > Last Name field. |
Question Bank | If a Question Bank is being used by the Assessment, then this will identify the name of that Question Bank. |
Question Name* | This column displays the Name of the Question. This is typically a default numeric value. |
Question Order | If a specific order of Questions has been defined in the Assessment settings, then this column will display the ordinal number of the specified Question. |
Question Pool Name | If a Question Pool has been added in the Assessment Settings, then this column will display the Name of that Question Pool. |
Question Pool Order | If a specific order of Questions Pools has been defined in the Assessment settings, then this column will display the ordinal number of the specified Question Pool. |
Username |
This column displays the value populated in the User's Profile > Username field. The Username is a name-based identity used to distinguish each User as they are added to the LMS. Also referred to as the User’s Login. |
Weight | If the Assessment is weighted, then this will calculate the weight value of the particular answer attempt. |
Report Action & Mass Actions
After navigating to a Report, you can perform administrative actions. These action commands become available once a row in the table is selected. The Actions menu is displayed on the right-hand frame of the page. This menu is context-sensitive, so the options for Actions and Mass Actions that are available will change depending on the content you are selecting.
- An individual row selection will open the Actions menu.
- Multiple row selections will open the Mass Actions menu.
Note: Action options are dependent on your individual Admin Role permission(s). Some actions listed in the table below may not be available to all Admins. If you have questions related to your permission set, please contact your local System Admin for details.
The actions listed in the table below are can be applied to a single row item.

Question Details | Click this button to launch a workspace that provides details of the selected question. |
Deselect | Click this button to clear current selections. |
The actions listed in the table below are can be applied to multiple row items at a time.
Action Menu Option | Description |
Message Users | Click this button to launch a workspace to compose and send a message to individual Users, a Group, or a Department. |
Change Department | Click this button to launch a workspace where you can reassign the selected Users to a different Department. |
Enroll Users | Click this button to launch a workspace where you can enroll the selected Users in any training contained in the system. |
Deselect | Click this button to clear current selections. |
Report Roles & Permissions
Below are the Required Role Permissions the Admin will need to access this Report and access the data to be populated.
Please note that your environment may use customized Role(s), Permissions, or a combination of both to perform these activities. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your local System Administrator to review your current permissions.
