This menu has 3 sections:  Grid, Interactions visibility and Course settings.  These will modify the settings of the entire course.  Well go through each section separately:

Grid

The grid submenu has 3 parameters.  Here's a rundown of everything:

# Parameter Description
1 Show Grid This will toggle the grid to appear in your content area.
2 Snap To Grid Setting the snap at 'on' will make the interactions snap on the lines of the grid.  The interactions will snap on the lines to the left and to the top of the interaction.
3 Grid Size Changing the slider will make the grid squares bigger or smaller.  You can also input a specific value.

Interactions visibility

The interactions visibility gives you four options:  Show all, Show 'completed', Show 'In progress', and Show 'Failed'.

Course settings

This will open the Course settings window where you can change parameters relating to the course itself.  The options are as follows:

# Parameter Description
1 Title Here you can modify the title of the course.
2 Unique code If you export a course locally to SCORM, you can fill out the unique course code in the LMS.
3 Description Enter a description for the course here.
4 Language We support a variety of languages.  Changing the language of the course will change the hardcoded text for the player to the corresponding language.  For example, the 'previous' and 'next' buttons of the player as well as the hardcoded text from the quiz page will change to the corresponding language as well as in some other places in the platform.
5 Duration This is only an indication for the duration of the course.  Setting a value here does not put a timer on the course.
6 Enable Subtitles Set this to 'on' if you want to enable the subtitles for the whole course.
7 Follow Sequentially

Setting this to 'on' will prevent the learner from clicking on pages in the page menu in order to skip pages in the course.

8 Resume Mode

This will dictate how the learner resumes the course when leaving in the middle of the session.  There are 3 settings:

  • Never resume:  This setting will always start the course from the beginning.
  • Prompt to resume:  This setting will prompt the learner whether they want to start from the beginning or continue where they left off.
  • Always resume:  This setting will resume the course where the learner left off.

Note: For course authoring, the languages available are English and French.
