Content Reviewer - Standalone

This article contains instructions and details about Absorb Create Authoring and Delivery.

The updated Reviewer mode in Create standalone allow content creators a better way for inviting content reviewers to review courses built in Create. 

 

How to Invite/Re-Invite Reviewers

  • Any Create user with any role can be setup as a content reviewer, or anyone who has an email address can be invited right away.
  • For limits on how many reviewers you can have, please refer to your plan.

Inviting Reviewers Within the Workspace

  1. Log into your Create workspace
  2. Click on the options menu for the desired course
  3. Select the option of ]Manage Reviewers]Workspace_Manage_Reviewers.png
  4. Start by tying the user name or email address, a drop-down will show with all the names of users.
  5. You can also type a new email address, this person will be sent an invitation to join the system as a reviewer role only.

Inviting Reviewers Within the Course

  1. Click on the [Comments] section in the course editor
  2. Select the option of [Manage Reviewers]Manage_Users_Dialog_Box.png
  3. Start by tying the user name or email address, a drop-down will show with all the names of users.
  4. You can also type a new email address, this person will be sent an invitation to join the system as a reviewer role only.

Accessing a Course to Review It

  • Reviewers can access the course through the link in the invitation email or when logging in through the review page.
  • Reviewers and content creators can also select the tab of Reviews at the top of the page once they login to see a list of all the courses they can reviewAccessing_Reviews.png

Re-Invite a Reviewer

  • A content creator can send another invitation to the previously invited reviewers in case they are unable to locate the previous invitation email to use the link.
  • If an invited reviewer does not yet have an account in Create, the content creator will notice that only an email address displays for them in the list of reviewers
  1. Go into the course editor
  2. Click [Comment]
  3. Click [Manage Reviewer]
  4. Click the options menu next to the account and select the 'Send review link notification' optionReinvite.png

How to Remove Reviewers From a Course

  • Once a person has been removed as a reviewer from the course they will no longer have access to the course, and the course will no longer display on their Reviews page. Their account will remain active in the Create system however until the content creator marks them as inactive.

To Remove a Reviewer From a Course

  1. Click on course the reviewer has access to
  2. Click on the [Page] option on the right
  3. Select the option of [Manage Reviewers]
  4. Next to the users account, click on the options icon and select the option of 'Remove'Remove_Reviewer.png

To Remove a Reviewer's Account From the System

  1. Log into the Create system and click on your account in the top-right corner to pull up account options menu
  2. Select [Manage Users]Manage_Ssers.png
  3. On the Users page find the reviewer's account then click [Edit]Edit_Account.png
  4. Change the account's status from Active to Inactive then click [Save]Account_Status.png

Reviewer Comments, Replies & Mentions

  • A course's creator, any invited reviewers, or other content creators who have access to the course's workspace can leave comments on a course.
  • The creator of the course can edit/delete ALL comments and replies on their courses left by reviewers or other content creators. Reviewers and other content creators can only edit/delete their own comments.

To Add a Comment to a Course

  1. When reviewing a course, under the 'Page' menu, select [Add Comment]
  2. A comment "bubble" will show on the top right side of the slide and a text box will show on the panel Add_Comment.png
  3. After typing in your comment, you can click [Save] to add your comment, or click [Cancel] to cancel your comment
  4. You can then click and drag the comment bubble around on the slide to point out a certain item Replying_to_Comment.png
  5. You can mention anyone on a specific comment for personalization. They must have access to the course ( reviewer or content creator). They shall receive an email to let them know they have been mentioned.
