Report File Types

When choosing a format for your Generated Report, consider the benefits and limitations of each file type. Excel files can be versatile and allow you to work with your Report data, while CSV files contain the raw data in a comma-separated format that is helpful when moving data to a new application. CSV files are also smaller, which can make moving large data sets more efficient. Both of these file formats are available when generating a Report.

You can generate a Report again in a different format provided that you save your Layout in the LMS. If the Report data has updated since the last time a it was generated, you can apply a Date Filter to specify when the Report data should be generated from. Note that this will not include any data that has been removed from the LMS, and any changed data will reflect only the most recent information.
