This article explains how to report on the Course Ratings that your Learners submit. Course Ratings let Learners apply a 1 to 5 star rating to a Course, helping you identify which Courses and Curricula are popular and where your Catalog has room for improvement. Course Ratings Report
After your Learners begin progressing through their Courses and submitting ratings, you can review their responses in the Course Ratings Report. The report displays each individual rating alongside the Course that was rated and the User who submitted it.
- Toggling Course Ratings off after they have been active makes the reporting data inactive, so it no longer appears in the Course Ratings Report. Re-enabling Course Ratings restores this data.
- Learners can update their ratings. Because rating data is gathered per enrollment, an update changes the score and Date Rated on the existing entry rather than creating a new one.
Navigating to the Report
You can view the Course Ratings Report in the Admin Experience (AE) by navigating to the Courses tab and clicking Ratings.
Note: Access to the Course Ratings Report depends on your Admin Role and Permissions. If the report does not appear, confirm that your Role includes the required view Permission. For more information, see the Admin Roles and Permissions article.
Refining and Filtering the Report
You can interact with individual ratings and narrow the report to the data you need. Click a rating in the report to open the option to Message User or Delete the rating.
You can filter ratings by Course Name, Course Type, Date Rated, First Name, Id, Last Name, or Rating. Click the funnel icon and select from the options in the drop-down menu.
You can refine the report further by Courses that are part of a specific Curriculum or Bundle, or by Curricula that contain a specific Course. Select an option from the drop-down list, search for and select the relevant Courses in the field below the drop-down, then click Refine.

- Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are included in the report's default layout.
- Opening a report may also apply a saved favorite layout or a shared default organizational layout.

| Id | Displays the unique identifier the LMS generates for each rating when it is submitted. Each rating has a unique Id. |
| Course Id | Displays the unique identifier of the rated Course. |
| Course Name* | Displays the name of the Course that was rated. |
| Course Type | Displays the type of the rated Course. |
| User Id | Displays the unique identifier of the User who submitted the rating. |
| Last Name* | Displays the Last Name of the User who submitted the rating, as it appears on their User Profile. |
| First Name* | Displays the First Name of the User who submitted the rating, as it appears on their User Profile. |
| Username* | Displays the Username of the User who submitted the rating, as it appears on their User Profile. |
| Is Learner | Indicates whether the User who submitted the rating is a Learner. |
| Rating* | Displays the 1 to 5 star rating the Learner submitted for the Course. |
| Date Rated* | Displays the date the Learner submitted their rating. If a Learner updates their rating, this displays the date of the most recent update. |
