Absorb now includes built-in AI writing tools in the Rich Text Editor to help you write faster, improve clarity, and create high-quality content directly within the LMS.
These tools make it easier for Course Authors, Admins, and Instructors to produce polished, professional text, without leaving the editor.
Available AI Options within the Rich Text Editors
There are three main elements to our inclusion of AI in the Rich Text Editors across Absorb LMS. These elements are as follows:
Enhance
Automatically improve grammar, tone, and readability.
Use this when you want your text to sound more professional or polished for example, when writing course descriptions or announcements.
Summarize
Generate a concise summary of longer content.
Great for quickly creating overviews, introductions, or course summaries.
Expand
Add detail or depth to your writing.
Use this when you have a short note or idea and want to turn it into a more complete paragraph.
How to Use AI Tools
AI Tools are included anywhere our Rich Text Editor is available. To use AI Tools access the Rich Text Editor somewhere such as the Course Description, News or Announcements sections of the LMS then follow the steps:
- Click the ✨ AI Tools icon in the editor toolbar.
- Choose Enhance, Summarize, or Expand.
- Review the AI-generated output. You can accept it as-is or make additional edits before saving.
Data & Privacy
Consider the following as it relates to data and privacy:
- AI suggestions are generated securely within Absorb’s environment.
- Your text is not stored or reused for training outside of Absorb’s systems.
- You always have full control to review and edit the generated output.
Tips for Best Results
When using AI Tools, Absorb recommends these tips for the best outcome:
- Start with clear, well-structured sentences because the AI performs best when it has strong context.
- Use Summarize for paragraphs (not full pages).
- Combine tools for example, Expand first, then Enhance to polish.
- Always review AI suggestions before publishing.
