Absorb LMS is broken down into multiple Experiences. These Experiences represent different components of a Portal with various configurations or interaction options. In an example, the Learner Experience could be compared to the classrooms of a school while the Administrator Experience is the office of the principal. Both rooms are part of the school, but they are designed for difference audiences and serve different functions. This article provides insight into the Absorb Experiences and the differences between them.
At this point in time there are four Absorb Experiences:
- Learner Experience
- Admin Experience
- Reviewer Experience
- Manager Experience
Learner Experience
The Learner Experience is the element of the LMS where Courses can literally be discovered, purchased and launched. This component contains a series of menus and pages that showcase content available in the Portal, content to be completed and more information.
The Learner Experience is also the only element of a Portal that a majority of Users will ever see or use. It contains the majority of branding customization and components such as launching SCORM content, or enrolling in an Instructor Led Course are completed here.
Admin Experience
The Admin Experience is the main hub of Portal configuration and is only accessible by Users with an Administrator Role. Once a User has the required Permissions, the Admin Experience allows them to upload Courses, add/edit Users, change branding or design elements and much more.
Access to the Admin Experience may include the ability to modify essential details in your Portal. For this reason, the number of Users who are Admins should always be as few as possible.
Reviewer Experience
The Reviewer Experience is focused on providing specific access to Users with the Reviewer Role to mark and manage Observation Checklists. This allows Reviewers to handle mentoring or on-the-job training.
Manager Experience
The Manager Experience is a component of the LMS focused on providing insight into Users who are under the purview of a given Manager. It allows your people leaders access to their team’s learning data in a simplified and user-friendly workflow.
