Access the Aura Chats Report

The Aura Chats report is accessed from either the Users Report, or certain Widgets in the Admin Hub. When opened from the Users Report, the Aura Chats report is scoped to a single selected User.

In the Admin Experience, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Users tile in the left-hand menu, and select Users to open the Users Report.
Users tile in the left-hand menu with the Users option

  2. Select the row for the User whose Aura conversations you want to review.

The Aura Chats report can also be accessed by clicking View Details in the top right corner of the Total chats, Unique users, Average chat turns, Chat activity, Topic distribution, Topic trends, and Content gaps Widgets. When opened, the report is filtered to match the Widget, including the Experience filter set to match the Widget's selected AI Agent. For more information, see Widgets in the Admin Hub.

Coming Soon!

This section contains information about an upcoming feature for Absorb Aura. For more details, see the Release Notes.

Filter by Topics

Use the Topics filter to confine the displayed chats to one or a selection of Topics from the report. Note that Aura automatically assigns up to three Topics to a conversation based on its content. The list of Topics is dynamic and can change as new conversations occur. Conversations that occurred prior to the availability of this feature are not assigned Topics.

Filter by Content Gaps

Use the Content Gaps filter to refine the list of chats to those with identified content gaps or no content gaps. These gaps occur when an AI Agent cannot find information on requested LMS content like a Course or resource.

Note that this filter is restricted to Yes or No, and only one option can be selected.

Filter by AI Agent

Use the AI Agent filter to narrow the report to conversations from a specific Aura source:

  • Microsoft Teams:  conversations from the Aura Learner Agent used through Microsoft Teams.
  • Admin Assist:  conversations from Aura Admin Assist.
  • Learner Assist:  conversations from the Aura Learner Agent in the LMS or the Aura extension for Google Chrome.
  • Course Authoring:  conversations from the Aura Create Course Authoring agent.

Export Chat Conversations

A full conversation can be exported as a CSV (Comma-Separated Values) file for offline review by System Administrators. Other Admins require the Export chat logs permission to access this feature.

  1. Open the Aura Chats report for the desired User.
  2. Select one or more chat session rows.
  3. Click Export chat history.

  5. Open the downloaded file to review the full conversation, including the sender, message content, timestamp, topics, and any content gaps. Note that conversations with no content gaps display N/A in the Content Gap column in the exported CSV.

Report Limitations

The following limitations apply to the Aura Chats report.

  • Report data respects the Admin's existing user management scope. Users outside that scope do not appear in the report or the report exports.
  • Admins can view and export chat sessions but cannot delete or modify them.
  • Admins can view their own Aura Admin Assist chats through the report, and Aura Admin Assist chats from other Admins within their Department scope.

No In-App Conversation View

There is currently no in-app view of a full conversation. Conversations are reviewed through the CSV export.
