This quarter's feature updates are designed to enhance User experience through modern and intuitive design, while providing extensive customization options for Learners and Administrators. These updates pertain to version 5.121.0 of the Absorb LMS.

Webhooks

There are two updates to Webhooks in this release:

• Course Enrollment Update: Eliminate the need for constant API polling by being notified when a Learner is enrolled into a Course.
• Security Update: Validate Webhook signatures with a secret key for enhanced security, with the ability to view the secret key in the Webhooks client settings tile.

General Updates

The following updates are general enhancements and improvements to the LMS.

 

CIAM Initiative

Starting on March 19th, you will be able to seamlessly log in to the Absorb Academy, Absorb Help Center, and Absorb Ideas Portal with a single set of credentials. The Admin application Help & Support Submit Idea and Absorb Academy buttons/links now behave differently, facilitating the ability for Admins to log into Absorb Academy without having to go through their home Portal and allowing direct links to Absorb Academy Courses.

 

Portal Setting Toggles

Two toggles that were previously hidden within Portal Settings are now exposed for System Administrators.

 

Enable Time to Complete

In an effort to provide clients with the most control over their own Portal’s behaviour, we are making the client toggle Enable Time To Complete visible to System Admins, rather than requiring an Absorb Admin to enable it.
