This quarter's updates are focused on helping our customers manage their Learners better and building a learning experience that fits their unique use cases.
These updates pertain to version 5.120.0 of the Absorb LMS.
New Features
The following components are new to the LMS.
Stronger Learner Engagement Reporting
New features specific to Learner Engagement Reporting include:
- iPaaS CRM Connectors: Writing new information from the LMS to the contact activity log of a client CRM.
- Salesforce Connector: Available activities now include Assessment attempts and completed Tasks.

Share Learner engagement activities such as ILC attendance, Curriculum Enrollments, Assessments, Tasks, Competencies and Certifications for more visibility of Learner activities.

SCIM API
Automate User Provisioning and updates across platforms with SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) within Okta. Administrators can now centrally manage User identities, ensuring real-time synchronization between Okta and Absorb LMS for large-scale identity management.

Create AI Quiz Generation
Generate relevant quizzes for courses in Create AI, enabling Admins to measure Learner comprehension and develop better quizzes. These comprehensive quizzes cover the entire Course and include multiple-choice, multi-answer, and true/false questions to ensure Learners engage with and understand the material. In the Create editor, you can add custom questions, adjust language, shuffle questions and answers, and modify point values to suit your needs.

Create Lessons Playback Rate
Optimize comprehension with Create playback rate. Learners now have the ability to control playback rate so they can consume Create Lessons at the speed that works best for them.

Mobile Course Certificates
Access Certificates from our mobile app for easy access to Course completion Certificates. Share, or save the Certificate as a PDF locally on the device.

Skills Product Enhancements
New features specific to Skills:
Automated Content Recommendations by Job Role
More personalized Job Role related content delivered to the Learner dashboard with AI-powered skills and Course matching for over 1600 Job Roles.
Change or Reset Learning Goals
Learners can now reset their learning goals at any time, to accommodate changing learning goals. This allows them to select a new target role, redo their self-assessment and select new Courses. At the bottom of the Overview tab of the Learner’s profile, there is a pink ribbon where the Learner can reset their goals and start a new pathway.
Tag Curricula with Skills
Courses often have dependencies that require the Learner to take the Courses in a specific order. In Absorb, Curricula help enforce Course order. Course Administrators can now tag Curricula with Skills and Competencies enabling them to be offered as options in the Learner’s pathway and thereby allowing Course Administrators to define the order of Courses being delivered.
Enhanced Job Role Management
Admins can swiftly find and customize Job Roles, streamlining the on-boarding process. This will enable Administrators to do more advanced searches of roles.
Custom Categories for Job Roles
Organizations can arrange Job Roles into Categories that match their internal groupings. We now have the ability to reassign multiple roles at a time to a Category, making it easier to re-organize roles.
Updated Features
The following existing LMS components have been modified or expanded.
Streamlined Free Course Checkout Workflow
Reduce the time to complete transactions containing only free Courses with express checkout for free Courses.
Present $0 Courses as Free in the Catalog
Courses with a price of $0 can now be set to appear as Free in the Catalog, giving clients more flexibility with how Free content is displayed to their Learners.
When this is enabled, all Courses with a cost of 0$ will appear as Free.

Express Checkout for Free Courses
Learners can skip the shipping/billing information step of the checkout process when all of the Courses in their cart are Free or cost $0.
When this is enabled, all Transactions with $0 value carts will skip the shipping/billing step.
Improved eCommerce Reports
Get more out of Transaction Details Report with new fields such as Audience, Goals, External ID, Vendor and Enrollment Keys.
Updated Learner UI
More modernized feel for the Learner UI with rounded corners and drop shadow settings.
Surface New and Top-Rated Content in Absorb Content Tile View
Streamline the content experience further with discovery tools to spotlight new additions to your content subscription and find relevant content faster within your content subscription.
Note that these content highlights are only available on the card view of the Absorb Content report.

Core Reports Enhancements
Refined reporting for Multi-Curricula & ILC Activity Reports! Lower the need for post-processing reports outside the LMS and report on up to 30 Curricula or ILCs in the Activity Reports.

Bulk Course Edit Notifications
Accelerate the management of Courses in a few clicks. Email notifications are now sent when Bulk Edit work is finished so the Administrator knows the change completed successfully.
The email includes a list of the Courses updated and error messages for any updates that failed.
ILC Waitlist Banner Color Change
There is no longer an orange warning banner to communicate that a Learner has been added to a Waitlist. The Waitlist banner now appears in a more sleek and small grey banner at the top.

Updates specific to Analyze Essentials:
Standardize Custom Report Layouts
Easily share Custom Report Layouts and maintain Report consistency across your organization. Custom Report Layout updates will automatically sync recipient-wide, centralizing changes in one place.
Recipients can configure shared Custom Report Layouts to be delivered on their preferred schedule and share Custom Report Layouts as Templates with the Duplicate Action.
